One catalogue. Many useful apps.

Places, activities and events with stable IDs, source dates, prices and specific access observations. A venue does not need to offer a discount.

Integration API · version 2

Request a separate read-only key for each app from the catalogue administrator. Send it in the X-API-Key header. Keys can be revoked individually; default limit is 120 requests per minute.

Lists return items, total, next_offset and snapshot_cursor. Follow offsets with the same filters. Save the first page’s cursor, then replay the change feed after initial loading to catch updates during pagination. Changes contain kind, ID, revision and an upsert payload or delete tombstone. Apply revisions in order; repeat delivery is safe. The change feed covers all areas, so apply your app’s area filters to each update and remove records that leave your scope.

Details that stay honest

Missing information means unknown. An access observation describes a particular feature; it is not a blanket disability-friendly rating. Postcode-derived coordinates are area centroids, not entrance locations. Prices retain their scope and observation date. Check validity dates locally when displaying offers, and refresh records regularly. Social videos remain links with review status; sampled frames are not full-video approval. Unlicensed venue photos are omitted from the integration API, with source references retained.

Coverage

Sheffield is the deep research area. Chesterfield, Manchester, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Belfast are early pilots, with three curated places each. Wider discovery leads may be returned without an area membership. No city is signed off complete. Events currently cover the Sheffield region; home activities are usable nationally.

Keeping it fresh

Research is collected on the local Mac and published atomically into PostgreSQL. A due-source queue and bounded local worker detect changed pages and queue them for factual review. A changed page never silently replaces prices or access evidence. Automatic recurring collection is not configured yet. Venue-approved edits are preserved through research imports; private claims and personal reviews stay outside the syndicated catalogue.
